Bamboo makes wonderful toweling as it is ultra soft and up to three times more absorbent than just cotton! They are very hard wearing and long lasting. These towels have their pile (the loops) are made of 100% Bamboo on a Cotton backing. The total fibre content is 60% Bamboo – 40% Cotton. They are rated at 550gsm. Fast growing Bamboo is a renewable resource. Bamboo is in fact a very fast growing grass, can be harvested every 3 years and then renews itself without need of replanting. Unlike cotton which requires irrigation it relies simply on rainfall. The yield from an acre of bamboo is 10 times greater than the yield you get from cotton. It is a fully sustainable crop.
